Why do Bad Things Happen to Good People?

Have you ever found yourself wondering, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” Or even vice versa. Probably everyone has.

Maybe something tragic happened to a loved one who did nothing to deserve it. Or maybe you know someone who always gets away with everything but you get in trouble for the tiniest mistake.

Situations like these are horrible and very saddening. I am truly sorry if anything like this has happened to you.

But, back to the question. “Why do good things happen to good people?” Well, we must first understand that there is no such thing as a good person. In reality, we are all born sinners who deserve to die. Luckily, Jesus can save you from that.

But if we change the question to “Why do bad things happen to bad people?” then we will get answers saying that they deserve it. So why are these bad things happening to people who aren’t really as bad as others?

God doesn’t see levels of sin. They are all the same to him. He is colorblind. The truth is, we are all broken.

So, when it boils down to the real answer to the question, we really do deserve the bad things coming our way. It’s our own fault. We are condemned sinners, and the only way to be saved from this condemnation is to trust in Jesus as your Savior.

Now on to the second question. How can some people get away with horrible things, but others get in trouble nfor the smallest things.

I don’t have a ton to say about this topic. First of all, it all depends on the situation, where they are, stuff like that.

In the movie God’s Not Dead, someone mentions that Satan will often give non-believers good lives so that they don’t have to worry about going to God for anything.

So sad.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I hope this gives you something to think about and answers any questions you may have.
