My Favorite Bible Verses Part One

I have decided to go through and talk about different Bible verses that I like. This week I will be talking about Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

These are such great verses. They tell us that if we trust in God and let him “take the wheel,” then he will guide us in the right direction. It really isn’t that hard.

One of the great thing about Christianity is that we don’t have to be constantly working to get to Heaven and constantly fearing the fact the we might not get there. If only you trust that Jesus is your Lord and savior, you will be saved. That’s all it takes for you to guarantee yourself a spot in Heaven.

I’m not saying you can get saved and then just go and do whatever you want. Even though Jesus forgives your wrongdoings, you can’t just go and do them whenever you want. You have to try your best not to commit these sins. It is only true repentance if you are truly sorry and wish not to do it again.

So as you go through your day today, remember this before you try to take matters into your own hands: Put all the pressure on God, and he will direct you where you need to go.
