My trip to New York

My great grandparents live in New York, and my family goes to visit them at least once every year. We always fly, as they live halfway across the country. We left on a Friday and came home on a Monday.

We had to wake up very early on the morning of our departure. It took us about 45 minutes to reach the airport. Here is an overhead view of the lobby:

I took a few random pictures of the airport and airplane.

Very random.

There was snow on the ground when we got there!

After that, we hopped in our rental car and drove to the house (another hour in the car).

We played in the snow as soon as we arrived.

I took some cool pictures of the icicles.

There were these cute little birds that hung out by the house.

We went to a nice little restaurant called Jelly Beans on Sunday.

After we ate, we drove by a windmill farm.

The best part (maybe) was the food! We had my all-time favorite meal: venison with gravy! Soooo good. Mashed potatoes are the perfect partner.

That’s pretty much it! It was very fun, but I was also very happy to be home.
